Since 2009, when she was  engaged by Aldeburgh Music to act as Vocal Consultant to the new early music group led by David Bates, La Nuova Musica, Sheila Barnes has been involved in an advisory capacity to the group for a number of projects, including their Dixit Dominus recording for Harmonia Mundi USA and its performance in the Trinity College Chapel as part of Cambridge Early Music.

Since 2010 Sheila Barnes has been teaching the choral scholars of the much-acclaimed Choir of Trinity College, Cambridge. The Trinity College Choir records for Hyperion Records and conducts international tours annually.
